The wagon road braids across the valley floor between three glowing rifts. Raiders come down out of the north gates. You have one purse and a limited line of ground beside the road: bolt down posts, lure the pack off the highway, and still have enough coin left to pay the toll at the next gate.

  1. Place beside the road. Only ground touching the road takes a post. Barricades go on the road itself.
  2. Bait draws them off. A bait cairn pulls raiders within four hexes and holds them while you shoot.
  3. Tolls come out of the caravan. What the purse cannot cover is taken from the wagons instead.
