BAY 04 / LAMINATED TIMBER

FLEXURE BAY

Four test articles. One coupon each. Re-lay the grain of a beam that is already bowing — every sheet you spend is gone for good, and every bay you change stays changed.

  • LOAD drag the dead-weight head. The ramp is the clock; your hand trims it.
  • LAY re-lay a bay's six plies. Grain is stiff and splits; cross-ply is soft and tough; a cambered layup bows on its own.
  • LOCK spend a lock to freeze a bay against the rig's auto-trim.

The cyan arc is the spec. Match the curve, not just the tip.
