Pick a crease, choose a side, and lift. The sheet is simulated as rigid facets of paper, so a fold that would tear the sheet or drive a flap through it is refused before you commit to it.
Read the target, plan the folds, scrub back and forth through your own sequence, and only then fold it for real.
