Pear Consommé
Bring the marked pairings within one chair.
No pair has held yet.
Two required pairs are adjacent.
Drag a diner onto either empty chair. Two fingers turn the lazy Susan.
Power rests
between the plates.
Seat six silent diners at eight chairs. Adjacency warms the room. Pulled chair backs break sightlines. Crossing utensils carry obligation. Each later course tightens the cap and spends composure when the table turns.
The porcelain waits.
Placement, Favor, and the current course are preserved.
The table holds.
Place. Listen. Lock.
Each diner has a fixed appetite, confidence, and boundary. Adjacent chairs create affinity. If either chair in an opposite pair is pulled out, the view across the table is blocked and suspicion grows.
Rotate the lazy Susan to change which diners meet at crossing utensils. Those crossings transmit obligation. Meet both required pairings or keep every diner at one or two neighbors, then lock the course. Empty Favor ends the table immediately. One isolated diner across two consecutive courses also ends it.
Touch: drag a diner onto an empty chair, use the depth controls, and turn the lazy Susan with two fingers. A tap on the table turns it one place.
