A puzzle in eight commissions
Tessellate
Weave a pattern tile from a limited set of shapes and make it close on every edge. Eight targets, a purse per tile, and whatever is left in the purse is your score.
- Wrap. The tile has no edges. A row that runs off the north side comes back along the south.
- Pins. Every floating pin names the motif that border cell must end up wearing.
- Ghosts. The band outside a side shows the opposite edge: the cells that meet it across the seam.

Rules
- Lay. Choose a piece from the tray, then lay it. Pieces wrap: a bar that runs off the east side reappears on the west.
- Purse. Every piece you keep on the tile costs marks. Lift a piece and the marks come back.
- Score. The tile is done when all thirty-six cells are woven and all four edges match. Whatever is left of the purse is the score.
- Seam. The ghost band outside a side carries the opposite edge, so you can see what meets it when the tile repeats.
