VEILSTEP
ACT I · HALL OF REEDS
Five long banners. Slow sway. Read the arc of your own silk.
A CEREMONY IN FOUR HALLS
VEILSTEP
You carry a veil that is your own body thrown out behind you. It is the only thing that can snag on a hanging banner, and the only thing long enough to brush a lantern tassel and swing to a high gate.
- SPIN wide arc, quick feet, big snag surface
- STEER turns you and throws the silk outward
- THREAD a locked needle through a gap
- FOLD half the silk, half the speed, half the risk
- RELEASE let it unspool. Never comes back
Three snags end the night. The veil's length is your clock.
